FlexiDiet is a personalised meal planning app that creates weekly meal plans tailored to your calorie goals, dietary preferences and lifestyle. You tell us your goals (lose weight, gain muscle, maintain) and your preferences (foods you like and dislike, dietary restrictions), and we generate a complete meal plan with recipes and a shopping list. The key difference is flexibility: you can swap meals, adjust portions and customise your plan to fit your real life.
Not by hand. FlexiDiet builds your week around your calorie and macro targets. Tick Eaten on a planned meal and it's counted. Ate something off-plan? Scan the barcode and it's logged.
Logging doesn't need to be tedious. Those apps start you on an empty diary and make you search for every bite. FlexiDiet plans the week first, so a planned meal is one tap and anything else is a barcode scan. Scanning is free.
Yes. If a meal fits your calories and macros, it counts, whether it's lasagna, a burger or a salad. Brad came second at a natural bodybuilding competition eating McDonald's and lasagna.
No. Your meal plans are never generated by AI. FlexiDiet was designed by a former nutrition coach and bodybuilder and builds every plan from carefully selected formulas. It links each recipe to real ingredients in your local supermarket and makes sure you get enough calories, carbs, protein, fat and fibre for a balanced diet. When it comes to building what you eat every day, we trust proven nutrition formulas, not unreliable AI guesswork.
After signing up, you'll go through a short setup wizard that asks about your goals, dietary requirements, cooking skills and food preferences. It takes about 3 to 5 minutes and helps us build a meal plan that actually works for you. You can update your preferences any time in Settings.
Yes. FlexiBasic is free, with no credit card. FlexiPro adds more, and the Pricing page shows exactly what.
See PricingWe use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation combined with your activity level and job type to calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). Based on your goal (lose, maintain or gain weight), we then adjust this number. For weight loss, we typically create a deficit of 300 to 500 calories. You can also set your calorie target manually if you prefer.
Yes. In MyFitnessPal, go to Food, then Printable Diary, pick a date range (up to 31 days at a time works best), and use your browser's Print, then Save as PDF. In FlexiDiet, go to Settings, then Account, then Import MyFitnessPal Diary and upload that PDF. The importer reads every food on every date, lets you review and uncheck anything you don't want, lets you re-map custom meal names (like 'Post Workout'), and writes the entries to your FlexiDiet history on the matching dates. Most users back-fill a few months in under five minutes. For best results use Chrome's Save as PDF destination, not Microsoft Print to PDF on Windows, which rasterises the page.
Absolutely. Flexibility is at the core of FlexiDiet. You can swap any meal by tapping it and choosing a replacement, and we'll suggest alternatives that fit your calorie and macro targets. You can also favourite meals so they appear more often, or dislike them to keep them out of future plans.
When you turn on the 'Utilize Leftovers' option, FlexiDiet schedules recipes that make multiple servings. For example, if you make a lasagna for dinner, the extra portions appear as lunch the next day. This saves time, reduces food waste and simplifies your cooking.
Yes. You can create custom recipes with our recipe creator. Enter ingredients by hand, or import a recipe from a website or a photo. Your custom recipes become available for your meal plans and are matched to your nutritional needs.
FlexiDiet lets you schedule takeaway days in your preferences. On those days, the meal planner allocates fewer calories to your other meals, leaving room for your restaurant meal. You can also log what you actually ate to keep your nutrition tracking accurate.
Yes. Every recipe shows detailed nutrition information including calories, protein, carbs, fats, fibre and key micronutrients. When you view your daily meal plan, you'll see a summary of your total daily nutrition at a glance.
All catered for. Tell us during setup and FlexiDiet only builds meals that fit. Diets: Vegetarian, Vegan, Pescatarian, Keto, Carnivore and Fasting. Allergies: dairy free, gluten free, nut free, egg free, shellfish free and soy free.
Food allergies are taken very seriously. When you mark an allergy in your profile, those ingredients are excluded from all recipe suggestions. We also flag common allergens in recipes so you can double-check. However, we always recommend checking ingredient labels yourself, especially for severe allergies.
Yes. During setup (and any time in Settings), you can list foods you dislike, and they won't appear in your meal suggestions. You can be as specific as you like, from broad categories like 'seafood' to single items like 'brussels sprouts'.
Healthy, sustainable weight loss is typically 0.5 to 1kg (1 to 2lb) per week. FlexiDiet creates a moderate calorie deficit that supports this rate. Faster weight loss is often unsustainable and can lead to muscle loss. Consistency over weeks and months is what delivers lasting results.
Calorie cycling means eating different calorie amounts on different days while keeping the same weekly average, for example eating more on training days and less on rest days. It can help with performance, hunger and social eating. It's optional: a consistent daily target works great for most people.
FlexiDiet includes a Success Tracker where you can log your weight, measurements and progress photos. We recommend weekly weigh-ins (same day, same time, same conditions) rather than daily. The app shows your trends over time, so you can see your progress even when day-to-day numbers move around.
FlexiDiet automatically generates a consolidated shopping list from your weekly meal plan. Ingredients are organised by aisle for easier shopping. You can tick items off as you shop, and the list saves your progress if you need to pause.
Yes, wherever FlexiDiet has supermarket data for your country. Prices sync from the stores daily, specials included, so you can estimate your weekly food costs and spot the expensive meals.
Tick off what you already have in your grocery list and it drops off. The meal planner also reuses ingredients across recipes during the week to cut waste and shorten your shopping list.
That's exactly what FlexiDiet was built for. One dinner, automatically portioned per person. Kids get kid-sized servings, your partner gets theirs, you get yours dialled to your macros. Same lasagna, different plates.
Yes. Add household members in Settings. The meal planner scales recipes and your grocery list to match. Each family member can have their own calorie target while sharing the same meals.
Yes. Connect your partner and you can share meals while each keeping your own calorie target. Changes made by either of you sync automatically, so joint meal planning is easy.
FlexiDiet is designed with meal prep in mind. Recipes show prep and cook times, and you can batch cook meals that keep well. The leftovers feature helps you plan ahead, and the grocery list brings together everything you need for the week.
